GATE Result 2018 – GATE 2018 Score Card Download

GATE 2018 Result has been declared by IIT Roorkee. Now GATE Candidates can check GATE Result 2018 here. Earlier IIT Roorakee was conducted GATE 2018 in 8 sessions on February 4, 5, 11 and 12, 2017 at more than 680 designated test centres across India for 23 papers for admissions to M.E./M. Tech/Ph.D at the IITs, the NITs, the CFITs and other universities in India. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) exam is jointly monitored and administered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and 7 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The GATE result 2018 or GATE Score Card was announced on 26th March 2018. IIT Roorkee had released the GATE 2018 answer key on February 26 and had allowed candidates to challenge the answer key through GOAPS from March 3 till 6, 2018. Previously GATE 2018 Result Date has announced officially and now you can get the GATE Results.

A Candidate can get the direct admission to Ph.D courses through GATE Score. Many leading Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like BHEL, GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, etc. are also recruiting on the basis of the GATE scores. GATE 2018 was also held for international candidates in Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E), Bangladesh, Ethiopia.  Check GATE Result 2018 at Today, IIT Roorkee has declared the result of GATE 2017 with score card, Topper Rank, number of candidates who appeared in this paper and marks out of 100. Just Enter enrolment ID/ email address and password to get GATE 2018 Result. The GATE result 2018 will be announced for only those candidates, who will score equal to or more than the specified qualifying marks as per their category. Each subject of GATE 2018  have different qualifying marks. Candidates can check their GATE 2018 result in online mode only. The score will be valid for three years.

The procedure to check GATE 2018 result is given below:

  • Visit the official website of GATE.
  • Click on ‘GATE Result’ tab.
  • Enter Registration Number, Roll Number and Date of Birth in the fields provided.
  • Ensure correctness of the entered credentials.
  • After verification, click on ‘Submit’ button.

Details displayed on GATE 2018 Result:

  • Name of the candidate,
  • GATE 2017 Registration Number
  • Examination Paper in which the candidate has appeared
  • Marks out of hundred
  • Qualifying marks for the discipline

GATE 2018 Score Card

The score card of GATE 2018 has been released on March 26 along with declaration of result. Candidates can download their GATE scorecard 2018 till May 26. The examination authority will not issue hard copies of the scorecards; therefore candidates have to download it within the prescribed dates.

Note: In case any candidate requires a soft copy of their GATE Score Card after May 26, they can get it by paying a fee of Rs.500 (five hundred only) on the GOAPS portal till December 31.

The GATE Score Card 2018 has released for all candidates, who have secured greater than or equal to the qualifying mark as per their category. The score of GATE 2017 will be calculated based on the actual marks obtained by the candidate for single session papers and normalised marks for multi-session papers.

The GATE 2018 scorecard will have following details-

  • Name of candidate
  • Registration number of candidates
  • Gender
  • Name of Examination Paper
  • Marks secured by candidates out of 100
  • Qualifying marks
  • All India Rank in GATE 2018 (paper in which the candidate appeared)
  • GATE 2018 score

Based on the GATE 2018 score, candidates can either apply for M.E./M.Tech/ Ph.D. Admissions in IITs/NITs/CFITs, and other universities in India or recruitment purpose in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) like BHEL, GAIL, ONGC, IOCL, etc. Only those candidates who have obtained equal to or more than the specified cutoff score (as announced by the PSU) can apply for the declared vacancies. While selecting candidates for academic programmes or recruitment, the concerned authority may take interview, written aptitude test or group discussion apart from the GATE 2017 score.
