KEAM Syllabus 2018 – Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala, has released KEAM syllabus along with the information brochure for the entrance exam. The syllabus of KEAM 2018 has unit-wise topics for all the three subjects that are included in the exam – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. KEAM Exam Pattern 2018 – Aspiring candidates need to check the KEAM 2018 exam pattern so that they know the format of the exam and prepare accordingly. The KEAM exam pattern 2018 specifies that the entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode; candidates will be provided OMR answer sheets where they have to mark the correct answer. The  Exam pattern of KEAM 2018 allows candidates to get an idea about other aspects like the duration of the test, types of questions asked, and subjects included. The entrance exam will have two papers – Paper I and Paper II. Questions from Chemistry and Physics will be asked in Paper I, while Paper II will have questions on Mathematics only. KEAM 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • KEAM 2018 will comprise two papers – Paper I and Paper II
  • Questions for Paper I will be set from – Physics and Chemistry. Paper II will include questions from Matematics
  • The question type will be MCQs with each question carrying 5 options.
  • Each paper will carry 120 questions that has to be completed in 150 minutes.
  • For correct answer 4 marks will be awarded, while incorrect answer will invite a penalty of 1 mark

Full details of KEAM Exam Pattern 2018

Subjects and papers for KEAM 2018: As per the exam pattern of KEAM 2018, candidates will have to appear in two papers – Paper I and II. The subjects covered for each paper is as follows:

Paper I – Physics & Chemistry- April 23, 2018 (10:00-12:30 p.m)

Paper II – Mathematics- April 24, 2018 (10:00- 12:30 p.m)

 

If a candidate doesn’t apper in any of the two papers, he/ she will not be considered for admission.

 

Question Type: Objective type MCQs will be asked in the exam. Each question will have five suggested answers, out of which only one will be the correct option.

 

Number of Questions: Both papers will have 120 questions each.

 

Test Duration: Candidates will get 150 minutes for each paper.

 

KEAM Marking Scheme:

  • 4 marks will be alloted for correct answer
  • For incorret attempt, 1 mark will be deducted
  • If a candidate chooses more than one answer, it will be treated as incorrect attempt and marks will be deducted accordingly.
  • Candidates who fail to answer at least one question in each paper will be automatically disqualified.

Standard of KEAM 2018: Question paper will be set as per the standard or Higher Secondary or equivalent exam.

 

How to mark answers: Candidates will be provided OMR answer sheets where they have to select and mark the alphabet (A, B, C, D or E) corresponding to the correct answer.

 

Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be conducted in offline mode (OMR-based)
